This policy explains which cookies the DomeniuLiber.ro website uses, why they are needed and how you can control them. It is drawn up under Article 4(5) of Law no. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector, and under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They allow the website to recognise the browser during a visit (session cookies) or on later visits (persistent cookies). Cookies can be set by the website you visit (first-party cookies) or by one of its service providers (third-party cookies). Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, are treated in this policy in the same way as cookies.

The client account (your account on DomeniuLiber.ro), where you manage your domains and invoices, uses the same session and security cookies listed above, which are needed for signing in. These are also strictly necessary.
The website's fonts are hosted on our own servers: we do not load fonts, scripts or images from third parties that set cookies.
Card payments are made on the secure NETOPIA Payments page, which may set its own cookies in accordance with NETOPIA's policy.
Why we do not ask for your consent
Under Article 4(6)(b) of Law no. 506/2004, consent is not required for storing or accessing information that is strictly necessary to provide an information society service expressly requested by the user. All the cookies above fall into this category:
- without the session cookie, the website could not keep the steps of your order or your sign-in to the account;
- without the security cookies, the forms and the website would be exposed to attacks and automated abuse;
- the notice cookie only remembers your choice to close the information message.
We do not use these cookies to build profiles, for advertising or to track you on other websites. We nevertheless provide you with the information required by law through this policy and through the Privacy Policy.
No analytics or advertising cookies
At present we do not use cookies or other tools for traffic analytics, advertising or remarketing, nor social media plugins that set cookies.
If we introduce such cookies in the future, we will only activate them after you give us your prior consent, through a message in which the accept and reject buttons are equally visible, with no pre-ticked boxes, with the option to choose by category and to withdraw your consent at any time as easily as you gave it. We will update this policy before any such change.
How to control cookies in your browser
You can view, block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the website from working (for example domain orders, forms or the client account). Instructions for common browsers:

The cookie notice
On your first visit we show a short information notice at the bottom of the page, which does not block browsing and which links to this policy. Because we use only strictly necessary cookies, the notice does not ask you to accept anything. When you close it, your browser receives the dl_cookie_notice cookie, so that we do not show it to you again for 12 months. If you delete your cookies, the notice will appear again.
