01Who can register a .ro domain?
Anyone: individuals and companies, from Romania or any other country. When ordering you fill in the registrant details: the name and, for companies, the company name, tax ID and trade register number. The registrant is the one who holds the rights to the domain, so check these details carefully.
02How long does registration take?
Usually a few minutes after the payment is confirmed. The request goes to the registry automatically and the domain appears in My account. If the registry asks for a check, we will email you.
03Can I bring a .ro domain I already own over to you?
Yes. You need the domain’s transfer key (authorisation code). Ask for it from the company where the domain is now. Enter it in your order, pay for the transfer and we take care of the rest. Your website and email keep working and the nameservers don’t change.
04How is the domain renewed?
About a month before expiry you receive the renewal invoice by email. You pay it by card from My account. You can see the renewal price from your very first search, next to the first-year price.
05Do prices include VAT?
Yes. All prices on this version of the site are in euro (EUR), VAT included. Your order, invoice and card payment are in Romanian lei (RON), at the National Bank of Romania (BNR) rate + 1% on the invoice day. You see the exact amount in lei before you pay.
