Transfer
Bring your domain here.
Move your domain from your current provider with its authorisation code. Your website and email keep working.
Move your domain. Your website won’t notice.
Ask for the transfer code
From the company where the domain is now: the transfer key for .ro, the EPP code for the others.
Enter the domain here and pay
You enter the code in the next step. You pay the transfer price by card.
Done. Nothing stops.
The nameservers stay the same: your website and email keep working the whole time.
.ro domains: the transfer key
.ro domains have a transfer key (authorisation code). Ask for it from the company where the domain is currently registered; they give it to you by email or in your account with them.
.com, .eu and the others: the EPP code
International extensions have an EPP code. You will find it in your current provider’s control panel, usually in the domain settings. The domain must be unlocked. For .com, .net, .org and other generic extensions, 60 days must have passed since registration or the last transfer.
| Extension | Transfer | Renewal |
|---|---|---|
| .ro | €10.88 | €10.88 |
| .com.ro | €10.88 | €10.88 |
| .com | €14.99 | €15.69 |
| .eu | €7.79 | €12.89 |
| .net | €14.79 | €15.49 |
| .org | €15.59 | €17.59 |
| .info | €29.29 | €38.19 |
In EUR, incl. VAT. For .com, .net, .org and other generic extensions, the transfer adds one year to the expiry date. See all prices
01Does my website go down during the transfer?
No. The transfer only changes the company you pay for the domain. The nameservers stay the same, so your website and email work as before.
02How long does it take?
It depends on the extension and your current provider: from a few hours to a few days. For generic extensions (.com, .net, .org) it can take up to 5–7 days, the time your current provider has to approve it.
03What if the transfer doesn’t go through?
Most often the code is wrong or the domain is locked. We email you what needs fixing and restart the request with the correct details.
